A psychedelic slice of the deepest part of a mystical land scooped up and held in glass. In ‘The Terrarium’ there lives a small but thriving ecosystem. Where caterpillars and cryptids of the woods roam free among the

moss-covered hills and glittering whipped fungi on the forest floor.

 

‘The Terrarium’ is a mystical and charming installation by Adelaide-based pop surrealism artist Jade Mars. Inspired by the Japanese art form of Decoden and the magic of the forest floor; Jade transformed Gallery Flaneur into a cute and colorful feast for the eyes.

Bringing to life an angelic one-of-a-kind world, filled with glittering ornate details, curious frondescence, and creatures of many strange forms. Mars’ installation will feature hand-painted 3D printed models of characters found in her paintings, bringing them to life in a tangible world allowing the viewer to experience her art in a unique way.
